Pat Capponi played an integral part in developing Voices from the Street. She has been the Lead Facilitator since conception in 2005.<\/p>\n

She has also served on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.camh.ca\/en\/hospital\/about_camh\/who_we_are\/CAMH_board_and_councils\/Pages\/board_standing_committees.aspx\">inaugural board of the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health<\/a> and as a part time board member of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ccboard.on.ca\/scripts\/english\/index.asp\">Consent and Capacity Board<\/a>. Pat was the co-facilitator of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.camh.ca\/en\/education\/professionals_in_training\/Surviving-Advising\/Pages\/default.aspx\">“From Surviving To Advising”<\/a> initiative undertaken by CAMH. The effort brings together <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Psychiatric_survivors_movement\">consumer-survivors<\/a> with psychiatry residents to allow those with lived experience of mental illness issues to work with residents to understand new perspectives of recovery.<\/p>\n<p>Co-chair of Mental Health Sub-committee of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tpsb.ca\/\">Toronto Police Services Board<\/a>, member of Work-focused Discussion Group (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mcss.gov.on.ca\/en\/mcss\/\">Ministry of Community and Social Services<\/a>), and is a member of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.civicaction.ca\/mindsmatter-champscouncil\/\">Civic Action’s Mental Health in the Workplace Champion’s Council.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Pat also completed terms on the Mental Health and Addictions Leadership Advisory Council and was a founding member of RACI (Resident and Consumer Initiative), a group of psychiatric residents and consumer\/survivors met monthly in each other’s homes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pat Capponi played an integral part in developing Voices from the Street.
